I have selected two Pics showing the growing of 10 Month without any Trims (May 2002 and a recent one).
It`s the longest it has ever been now, but it was close to that Length once in the 80`s before I had to cut it for Job.
Now I have decided to go much further
.
Thanks to Treyn for loading the Pics on his Server!
(hope it works)
I,ve been growing my for that long too and it is half the length of yours!
hehe. keep in mind Spoon, that he did have a bit of a head start over most of us. But wow-wee, I am totally impressed with the rate of growth (i am a w=hore for before and after pics btw :) ) and its physical health. well, compared to his earlier one his hair looks much healthier. And i agree with Mike D, don't waste precious hair trimming. SUCK IT UP! :)
Are you absolutely sure that that's only 10 months of growth?! I've known people who have been growing their hair for almost 2 years who haven't reached that point yet even... man!! You're either mistaken, lying or very, very lucky!
"You're either mistaken, lying or very, very lucky!"
No, i`m not lying. Iam VERY LUCKY!
As you see, in May the (relatively short) Bangs have been just past Eyebrow- level and aren now just past Chin- Level.
I heve pulled them straigt an measured: abt. 14 cm/=5.5 inch Progress
in 10 Month= .55 inch per Month.
That should not exceed the biological Tolerances..
The Trick i have learned is: not to trim.
That might not work well for everyone - but for my wavy / curly Hair it does.
Trims have not made it neater, only shorter.
And the additional Weight straightens out the Waves.
Anyway, it may be a Gift of God that i could get this at an Age of 43.
It would be a sin to destroy it.. by cutting?!
...btw...i have to shave twice a Day...
That looks about right for 10months imo. If you look at how far the hair comes down Michael's back on the two pictures, it's probably not too far from 5inches difference...
Michael, your hair is looking in really good condition! Have you had it died, as it's grey in the first picture... Your hair looks slightly dried out in the first picture, but really good in the second - You must have put some effort into caring for it. This is good to hear for me, as my hair is slightly drier on the "outside" than i'd like, and i would hate to think that it's impossible for me to "repair" it over time...
How long had you been growing your hair in the older picture, or had you kept it at that length for along time?
"Have you had it died, as it's grey in the first picture..."
No Dieing. The grey Strand appeared about 3-4 Years ago.
They are only at the "very low" Temples so that they are now, as it is longer, mostly covered by the longer Top Hairs.
"Your hair looks slightly dried out in the first picture, but really good in the second - You must have put some effort into caring for it."
You are right: I´ve learned how to take Care of it, thanks to this Board and all the nice People here.
Just optimizing the Conditioning Routine...
"How long had you been growing your hair in the older picture, or had you kept it at that length for along time?"
Hmm.. i have had it just above the Shoulders for a long Time. Let it grow further in August 2001 an had a Trim in March 2003.
Looking back, i shouldn´t have had the Bangs trimmed...
iF YOU GO BY your BANGS only...
then it looks like 10 months BUT
the back must have been LONGER BEFORE
the 10 months period OR
I want some of those vitamins!

I dont think the Back has grown faster then the Bangs.
There could be a more visual Difference because the additional Weight hase straightened out the Curls.
When i brush out the "sleep curling" in the Morning there is a visible Diffence in Lenght of abt. 5-6cm.
ahh-Vitamins...none extra.
But Zinc > helps a lot!
post a back shot please
.. here you are:
sorry for the poor Quality.
We have rainy Weather, no Sun, and i have to use artificial Light.
Tried Flashlight, but it gives unnatural Colours.
Sorry, i dont have a Back Pic o former Times to compare.
For those who are wondering about the "10 Month Lenght":
the real Progress is about 14 -16 cm.
(i have had some long Hair before (: )
So that makes this your BEST shot!
Keep up the good work Michael! Its looking great!

Great progress over ten months, quite an inspiration. Do you always wear it down or sometimes put it in a tail?
P.S.: My "ten-month progress pics" aren't going to have that much hair!
"Do you always wear it down or sometimes put it in a tail?"
I mostly wear it down.
The Bangs are still not long enough to stay in the Tail for a longer Time, and i hate to put any Chemicals on my Hair.
But tailin will be the Future..
"My "ten-month progress pics" aren't going to have that much hair!"
It is probably less hair than it appears because of the wavyness.
Good Luck with YOURS growing!
...(hey, your initials are your professional abbreviation too!--a doctor). The hair and the progress look great! I can't wait until I achieve the length you have in the FIRST picture! Haha!
