I was surfing around the net on the subject of long hair and came across this little bit of poetry. Thought I would share it with all of ya':
Gimme head with hair, long beautiful hair;
shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen ...
Give me down to there hair, shoulder length or longer;

Oh gee does that bring back memories. I still remember the
first time I heard that song on the radio. Wow do I feel old.
For those young people who don't recoginize this....it is from
a muisical many moons ago called Hair. It was big on Broadway,
was later made into a movie, the Cowsills had a hit record from
it. Oh the memories.......it was a glorious time to live through....
I agree with you. It was a great time to live through, especially the memories. I enjoyed the 1970's the best.
Dude that's a song. There was a broadway style show called "Hair" which questioned the standards of society, and that was the main theme...

I loved the musical hair. But then I had long hair when
it was running.
Of course it is poetic that this was posted the day
they settled the strike on Broadway.....
When Hair was running it was a wonderful time for us long hairs.......
I was a hippy in the true sense of the word, I protested
the war, had hair below the waist, always wore jeans and/or
cut offs, and was always bare foot.
