I was going to put wax in my hair to spike it all up for a charity event in the UK, I used this hair wax but it doesn't come out.
I only tested it on one area and got one spike that was long. My hair is 6 inches long...
I have washed my hair 6 times tonight and the wax does not seem to come out, it just preads out more and makes my hair seem greasy and think... does anyone please know how to get this out!? I ont wanna hav to cut it!
This may sound obvious and I am not trying to be insulting but you give the impression that this is a product you bought? Or is it just wax you made yourself? Cuz if you bought it in the store see if it has any directions on the bottle and if not call the manufacturer and ask about it/complain (only if necessary).
yeah, i was stupid enough to use it when it said "for use with especailly short hair" there are no directions on getting it out... :(
In that case I would call the manufacturer and see if they have anything to tell you.
The last time I had a trim the woman absolutely lathered my hair with wax so it was horribly greasy. It took a good few days for it to get out completely, it could have been a maybe a week or so.
Many moons ago, I tried HAIR wax...that is, wax made for use
in controlling your hair...
It SHOULD come out with shampoo & water. Mine just rinsed off my
very waxy hands...with plain water!
Try using warm water...it should be completely out within a few washings.
maybe, you could use a dandruff shampoo, they're much stronger than regular shampoos. work it into your hair real good and let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing it out.
Here in the US, we have an organic solvent called "De-Solv-It" which is made out of citrus products. It is totally safe with skin, hair, etc. and it would take the wax out of your hair easily without damaging it.
Unfortunately you're in the UK, but if you look on the shelves of an establishment that sells cleaning fluids and solvents (here in the US, we have "Home Depot" and Wal-Mart stores that carry it), you might find something really close. Just be careful that the label says it is safe for contact with skin. If it's safe on skin, it's safe on hair too. Some cleaners that have an orange smell have other oils and solvents that wouldn't be good for your hair at all, so choose carefully.
Either use a clarifying shampoo or mix baking soda in with regular shampoo and lather well (don't get it to a full paste)
Just keep washing with water that's hot enough without scalding yourself. And next time, use egg whites to spike your hair.
