i have a problem. i died my hair black. and normally i use vaseline to keep from dying my skin. but this time it went through the vaseline and it stained my skin. normally i'd let it slide, but i'm in a band and i need to have it off my skin now. is there any tricks. i've used bleach in the bast but i don't have any here.

Or, do you have a scouring powder like comet? that may work.
In salons they use a product made for removing hair dye when it stains skin. You might be able to get some at a beauty supply store. I'm not sure how well it works if the dye has been on your skin for a long time.
Matt, the product you are looking for is Roux "Clean Touch", a skin cleanser for haircolor stains. Sally Beauty Supply sells professional products to non-professionals...try there. If unsuccessful, try looking for a sympathetic salon owner/stylist who will have your remedy at their place of business and do you the favor of removing yoour stains as a courtesy. Depending on what kind of band you're in, you could paint your face to cover the stained parts. Do you happen to play in a gothic band?
