War is not specifically mentioned in the FAQ, so I will mention this here. I will be more strict than usual about off-topic posts when related to the current war activities. Why?
There are countless other places where people can converse about this topic.
It is a subject that is likely to produce very long threads that don't make any headway, kind of like threads about creation vs. evolution.
If the post relates to long hair, I will allow it (are all longhairs anti-war, for example). Otherwise, I will trim the threads without warning.
This has nothing to do with my taking one side or another or my being patriotic or not, for that matter. I myself have specific opinions on the current war effort, but I choose to keep my views off this board.
I won't rule out posting an editorial from time to time. If I do so, you may feel free to post responses directly to it. If I do so, I will put the word editorial in the subject line.
