Hi guys, check out my new album with some close ups of my hair, taken with my brand new Nikon digital cam :)
Hope you like it.
Cheers,
Jin
Jin, you really do have excellent hair. Thanks for posting the inspirational pictures, it really helps!
Hi Gollan,
Thanks for your compliments. I do hope this (and the pics of many other great people here) serve as a positive inspiration for more guys to have long hair. Hopefully, with a larger proportion of long-haired males, we would suffer less discrimination and stereo-typing.
Cheers,
Jin

Hi IndianBoy,
Thanks for your kind compliments. Yes, I do go the distance to take care of my hair as I like to have it healthy, soft and neat. And nope, I do not wear lipstick or any form of make up :)
Cheers,
Jin
Excellent hair!!!! I haven't forgotten you, my friend, just been a
poor excuse for one myself.
Hi MG,
Forgive my paranoia but have you received my email? Or is this supposed to be a reply to me on air?

your question
www.shred.inf/photos.shtml won't work for me.
Anyway, now you reminded me, so thanx, again
I'm sorry. It's my fault. The right website is: www.shred.info/photos.shtml Hope it works this time
Yes...these are very nice & interesting photos!
Thanxfor sharing the site!
Really impressive hair, thanks for posting.
Jin,
Thanks for the recent picture updates. Your hair looks fantastic, and I especially like the "back shot", # 3. Do you trim it to get that even look? Finally, what is your goal length?
Thanks again. It's inspiring.
Your hair is looking more impressive all the time. Keep up the good work!
What model of Nikon camera are you using? The photos were nicely metered.
I thought in Singapore the government actively discouraged nonconformity. How are you able to be a longhair there?
Dear Gary,
I'm using Nikon Coolpix 775. It is not the most current model but serves just ok for my basic usage. For your info, it is a 2.0M Pixels digicam, with 10 lighting modes for photography under different lighting conditions.
And oh... for the next question... you know, I've been asked this an umpteenth time already (whenever I post my long hair pics and made known that I'm a Singaporean). Unbelieveable as it may be but till now, I haven't got any deliberate checks from the police when I walk along the streets, even with my hair loose ;). People say it might be due to my "soft" features and small frame that they tend to mistake me for a girl at first glance but... oh well...
In fact, I personally feel that our government had relaxed its reins on imposing stiff laws regarding our personal image choice (and in particular, long hair on male). Yes, it used to be a prosecutable "crime" to wear long hair in Singapore in the 60s to early 70s. This is due to the perceived indesirable "Hippy Culture" which, the government relate narrowly "long hair" to "drugs". But anyhow, those days were over and in our current society where creativity, individuality and the arts are upheld, long hair on men (I think), are less scorned upon (although some basic form of discrimiation still exists).
Although that's the case, you would not see "tons" of long haired guys in our country due to compulsory military committment imposed on all males aged 18 and above. This law require us to serve a 30-month full-time military stint and subsequently, be ready for reservist callups up to the age of 40. This means that, once that happens, our hair must go :((.
I hope this clarifies your queries. Thanks for your compliments :)
Cheers,
Jin
