i tried not washing my hair for a few days. my hair ended up looking nicer in general but it got so greasy. no wi am goign to have to choose between greasy hair/nice and clean/poofy hair, or is their a solution to losing the grease without losing the niceness of hair after a few days of not using shampoo?
ive heard jojoba oil helps for the look youre talkin about, im considering using it myself. could any people who use/have used this please give advice?
I have two oils that sit with all my other hair care stuff. Jojoba oil and cocoa butter oil. Both give that "greasy" look with ease, but I have found it doesn't weigh the hair down so I just have greasy curls. I also can't stand the smell of the jojoba.. but the cocoa butter is great. Try them for your self.. both were no more than 2 quid each.
Cheers.

Be more specific please: are you trying to say that your hair FEELS greasy? Because if it looks ok then it probably doesn't LOOK greasy - just applying some common sense here. If it looks ok then there's no reason to change anything, IMO.
How long is you hair? As it gets longer the poofiness from shampooing on a daily basis may disappear thus eliminating the problem.
I had the exact same problem a few months ago. It's gotten better, but the poofiness hasn't fully gone away yet. I'm assuming that you're like me, and don't like using styling products, since those can pretty much take care of the poofiness.
The only thing we can do is wait it out. Sooner or later your hair will start weighing itself down, and that'll be the end of it. Until then, my routine is to wash on days when I don't have to go to work, and I can wear a hat. I usually end up washing my hair about twice a week.
