I apologize for the lack of activity here lately. I just visited the main page and realized the current link to the Samson page is obsolete. I guess it's been there all along, and for that I apologize. There is an update, and I think I have already announced it here (some months ago already). Just linked to the House of David site. Not that I'm about to
become a convert, but found it quite fascinating. I was raised
not far from Fostoria, Ohio and had relatives in Benton Harbor,
Michigan -- tho' no ancestors I know of were part of it.
Nice photos of the long-longhaired men posing for baseball pics.
Without braiding or tying their hair back, I wonder what they
must have looked like on the field on a windy day? Any info
on how often they won against the other teams they played?
(insert pretend butch sports reference here---)
Also liked seeing the clean-shaven men who look very contemporary.
Anyone know how they were able to forgo the stipulation to not
shave, either?
Happy shampooing from Anchorage, Alaska, where it's getting cold,
winter is about to arrive, and I'll have to keep my hair under my
hat so it doesn't freeze or catch a cold!

They sometimes overtly and sometimes covertly hired professionals, for example Babe Ruth. They also played tricks, hiding the ball under their beards, etc. This was mostly not in serious play, though, from what I understand.

I can hardly wait until summer's over. We're still having temps in the mid-90's here. So far, I think we've had record high temperatures in May, June, July, August, September, and October. I'm definitely ready for summer to end. I think tomorrow the high's supposed to be only in the 80s.
