Hi all.
I've been growing my hair for 20 months now with a trim of a few inches at the back and sides.
I can get most of my hair in a ponytail-however,my bangs are long enough to stick out from behind the ears but not long enough for a ponytail-this causes problems whenever it's windy outside(the bangs are flowing in the air).
My question is what can I do about it-I don't want to use any pins-only "natural" ways.
Thank You,
Adi.
with out sounding sarcastic. if you want things "natural" then you will leave your hair to do what it naturally wants. rather then trying to constrain it. everyone must do what they must to keep their hair in place
I used hairclips at that stage.. I have dark brown hair, I wore black hair clips. You barely could see them and they worked great.
My bangs are longer than the rest of my hair but none of it fits into a ponytail (at least not one more than 3 inches towards the top of my head. Anyway, I use those (I think 'bannana') clips that you bend to open and bend to close-they're about an inch long-. Anyway, I clip my bangs underneath the hair further back on my head so the clips will be hidden and the bangs will fall behind my ears.
You will probably always havesome hair which isn't long enough to go into your ponytail. That's because every hair that falls out is replaced with another one which has to start the growing process from zero, and however careful you are in tying your ponytail, you will break a few hairs at the pont they enter the tie.
However, the problem you have at the moment is that it's not just a few strays that won't reach. You could try binding those hairs (not too tightly, but just weave them, like a very loose braid) in with other longer hairs that do reach the tie. That should keep things tidy for most of the day, depending on how strong the wind is etc.
Time will solve the problem of course, ike most problems of insufficient length!
Happy growing
