This is for whoever uses Aussie products. You guys think it's good. I tried it, very good. However i would like to ask for whoever uses aussie conditioner to also try just once the pantene smooth and sleek conditioner. Still not sure which to use. That Smooth and Sleek line is very good.
Hi there. I used Pantene before switching to Aussie. Yeah, Smooth and Sleek seems to work well and has a nice texture but one thing I didn't like about it was the scent. Now that is of minor importance I guess. Pantene shampoo uses a cleaner that is said to be harsh on the hair, ammonium (laureth) sulfate and also uses dimethicone which some sources say is damaging in the long run. I contacted Pantene directly and of course I was told that dimethicone is "a women's best friend" (to quote exactly) and that tales of it causing hair damage are just a myth.
Shaun
The shampoos have ammonium sulfate, that is the reason i dont use it. The conditioners have dimethicone which i also heard is bad. But many say it helps the tangles up A LOT. I can relate cause when i used it I had absolutely no tangles and my hair was so soft. Did you find the aussie conditioner to work exactly like pantene's smooth and sleek?
I agree with you that Pantene and other shampoos containing dimethicone do a great job with making hair easy to brush through and untangled, which conceivably saves more damage that whatever purported long-term effect dimethicone is supposed to have.
Aussie uses sodium laueth sulfate not ammonium...
I use the MOIST Shampoo & Moist conditioner DAILY with
excellent results and no damage.
some salon products might be better but much more expensive...
I switched from Senscience to Aussie and it totally fried my hair. I have cut all my hair off and am starting over! That's how much damage it caused.
I have thick wavy hair when it is long, so maybe it's a matter of hair type. I'll never use Aussie again, as two years of hair growth wound up on the floor.
Can you explain in more detail how Aussie products (which ones and how you used them) managed to totally fry your hair to the point that you had to cut it all off?
Hmmmm, I guess that it didn't really happen that way after all.
Never heard of Senscience. Sorry to hear that you felt you had to cut off all your hair. Can you elaborate on how Aussie fried your hair? It's just shampoo after all.
I bought Aussie a couple weeks ago, but only got a week's use of it. I recently packed up and moved and I can't find the Aussie products in any of my boxes and bags.
The shampoo that I thought really left my hair in unmangeable condition was Revlon Outrageous - all tangled up after I used it.
