For those of you who have DirectTV, channels 103 or 801 (freeview) are showing an REO Speedwagon concert. The bass player is the only one in the band with considerably long hair and I was observing that my hair will probably look like his when it gets that long. Quiet thick and kinda wavy. I think it's cool anyway. Just thought I would share. Peace!
I don't have D-TV, just cable. I still remember REO. I thought they had some good tunes in their day (the 80's). Though, they aren't my favorite; I wish I could see the concert. Later.
I wonder how many now days know the origin of the name REO Speedwagon. REO was the name of a car and truck manufacturer. The name came from the initals of the founder: Ransom E. Olds--the same guy who earlier founded Oldsmobile and then sold that company. Reo built cars and trucks from before WW1, discontinued cars around 1936 and continued building big trucks. They merged with Diamond T, another truck company, became Diamond Reo and may still be in business today near Harrisburg, PA. My first car was a Reo touring car--it was pretty old when I got it. I'll bet thats more than anyone wanted to know!
Well, a lot more people know that since the "Where are they now" bit on VH1 a few years ago than when they were on top of the charts.
