I think one big milestone in the awkward stage that is highly overlooked is the bangs going behind the ears. It seems more emphasis is put on it touching the eye, nose, or even taking it into the mouth. But to me, it's all about going behind the ears. It now looks great and will serve as my temporary hairstyle of choice until it reaches my shoulders. Right now I'm at 9 months growth and it comes just past my nose (it can be pulled to my lower lip). Anyone else care to comment on this important stages? :D

Pulls down to about my lips, although it curls normally and is only eye length. I can tuck the bangs behind my ears, which is pretty cool.
