I am new here but i have been lurking for a while. To give you a little background, my last haircut was october 2002. Very short buzz, at the longest less than a half inch. It is now (if i pull it straight about to the top of my lip. Hair type is thick and a little bit of wave. I use the Aussie moist line but since i am in the awkward stage i use some of the melting gel also suggested here. My question is about the cold rinses. Is is still good enough to do the rinses since there is gel in my hair? Also is there a product one can use in between washings or just rinse and put in some conditioner. Sorry if this question has been asked before and that the post is so long. Keep the hair growing. Thanks in advance.
well, I can only speak of my experience with gels:
*Yes, you can rinse Melting gel out with plain water but...
to do a really good job of it, you need shampoo.
*I've found that starting with clean hair and THEN adding gels or
whatever, is the best way to go.
* You could do a very LIGHT shampooing using a small amount of
shampoo without even creating a suds. Rinse it out & conditioner your
hair.
* If you are in a RUSH and there is NO TIME for a shampoo,
then just rinse well with water (I never use CoLD..but that's just me). Then add a new application of your gel & style your hair. . .and...
Good Luck!
thanks LucksKind. I am not too worried about rinsing it all out since i need to have a presentable look for work. Without it my hair tends to have the infamous puff look to it. My hair is only about 5 inches or so in front and a little shorted in back, not long enough yet to really weigh it down. Thanks again and much kudos to this board, its great!!
