At long last, I've finally updated the Samson page. There are lots of pics and an interview.
When loose, long hair traps lots of air pockets and makes a great insulator. I'm really glad to be a longhair in winter! And when summer comes, one can braid his hair or put hair ties along it in several places, and the insulation "problem" of hair disappears. Whoever designed long hair and gave it to us knew what He was doing. Hair is great stuff!
It also demonstrates how all hair appears bushier than it really is, and curly hair appears particularly "big", while in reality when compressed one's hair is small indeed.
That's true. I have very curly hair and it appears very big and sort of bushy like Vinny's and in reality its very fine, yet I have a lot of it.
