Is it me or does thick hair tend to have a bigness to it during the awkward stage. I am at the 6 month stage and it looks kinda big unless it's wet or i use products on it. Plus it does stupid looking curling thing at the back and part of the sides.
THICK hair will make some of the very nicest AWKWARD PHASES around!
It will be a "TEST-OF-FIRE" for you...for sure!
Did you ever notice how they put these bushy, shaggy hairy wigs on all...
those cavement & women in the films? Cheap flicks + cheap wigs...
It makes me sick. . .sick I say!
...he..he...sorry!
I guess I've had one too many...didn't even notice until you mentioned! LOL
You are correct in saying that thick hair is big, poofy, flippy, twisty, disproportionate, irritating, out-a-control, etc. when dry during the awkward stage, but when it does get to a decent long length below the shoulders it is the coolest looking full bodied head of long hair in my opinion. My hair is quiet thick and I have to indure all this, but I believe it will be well worth it in a few years. Peace!
Yea, I have heard. I use moose and all that crap. Just that sometimes you wish your hair was long enough to not need that. Thin hair doesn't look too great when long, tends to look stringy looking. I have switched from gel to moose since I can at this stage and is better at this stage.
Yes, I have thick hair and it kept getting bigger and bigger up to about the seven month mark. At that point it was all basically hanging down and started improving (getting less poofy) day-by-day. Of course, a new round of challenges began, most notibly hair poking in the eyes and getting in the way of the earpiece on the phone. For the first seven months I used a strong hair gel to reign in the poofy look.
I'm sure the early awkward stage causes many men to give up growing their hair. That's were the support and encouragement from the Men's Longhair Hyperboard comes to the rescue. The awkward stage is rough but hang in there and you will be rewarded with excellent long hair.
I wish my hair was thick. It looks all the better once it's long!!!
Yeah, mine is thick and curly. It was a real pain during the awkward stage. I think I single handedly kept the gel manufactures in business for a while. Now that It is long though. I absolutely love it. Hang in there, it's all worth it in the end.
