  I have been following this board for a few years. I haven't posted a message in a long time. I thought I would share a picture of my hair. Unfortunately the picture is dark. However, you can see the length. I love my hair. Its been growing about 9 years and seems to have stopped. I get it trimmed about 2 times per year. I use to get it trimmed avery 5-8 years. This site has taught me different. The hairdresser would take way too much off even if I told her/him just an inch for the split ends. Now I find a sympathetic female who will trim the back straight across. I generally wear my hair in a braid down my back at work.

    There was a machine that I have seen on an infomercial. The name was the Split Ender(only cuts off the dead ends and doesn't cut healthy hair). If you are concerned with your long hair splitting I highly recommend the product.
