Ok, I know that I'm still only in the awkward stage, but I feel that I have very strange hair texture. It's straighter on top and curlier on the ends. My hope is that the curls I have now will loosen up a bit and turn into waves, but they're fairly 'tight' right now. I'm concerned that they will grow curly in the same fashion, and my straight hair will only get straighter. Can anyone convince me that this is only the awkward stage at work here? Is there anyone that has texture similar to my hair? Is there a picture you can post of someone with long (12+ inches) hair that has hair like mine?
And I know. Be patient. :)
Is EXACTLY like that. This is what it looks like long:
I can get it straight by blow drying with a BIG round brush.
I wasn't finished! LOL
Very nice!
In that mouthwash or liquor bottles?
And liquid soap, and a pokemon cup...
I left the liquor in the kitchen. LOL
I wouldnt worry, mine was the same for a while, strangely curly from the middle onwards but now it is all wavy... not sure its that much better really, when your out of the awkward stage anyway. I think these days with all the improved shampoos and conditioners hair can look much nicer whatever type
My dear friend,
I have a similar situation. My hair on top has a slight wave, but the back and sides are curly. So what do I do. I encourage the curls in the back and then use several wire brush rollers on top to give a little flip. I part my hair on my left, and usually use about four rollers to roll the front section away from the part, and then a couple of rollers to roll the crown section back. Occasionally I will use a couple of rollers on the shorter side. My hair is about 8' long, so it is easy to roll, but you can roll hair as short as 3 inches.
What this does for me is to give me a little more lift and body on top, When I take the rollers out, I brush lightly in the direction I wish it to go. It seems staight now, paradoxically, having had rollers in it, but as the day goes on the curl comes back and is a bit seductively provocative and it blends in with the back.
To regularize the waves and curles in the back, I use a dollop of gel, and brush my hair as straight as possible, with a curled flip on the ends. When it dries, there are some waves, and it ends in curls.
I like it, and so do my admirers.
