Hey, I'm sure something like this has been posted a million times before but:
My hair is about down to my shoulders. I really like my hair alot, but when its nice and straight. There in lies the problem, Its naturally about half stright. I have several products ("Garnier Frutis", "Physique gel", etc.) and even straighten my hair with an iron. But the only time it really work is when I use the iron, but it sometimes doesn't really stay straight. I'm a 16 year old male so I can't do that Japanese straighting this just yet. Does anyone have tips for keeping it staight for about a day?
A blow dryer on the cool setting. It doesn't damage your hair the way the hot setting does.
It takes longer...Much longer...but the effect is the same.
I also use a BIG round brush. Start at the root of the hair and blow the hair that is on the brush toward where you want it to go. It will take some time to "train" your hair possibly, but it will go from "poofy" to straight.
For a day, depending on the weather. If it is humid, the ends of my hair begin to curl immediately, and it works it's way up my hair quickly!
