Hi,
From experience, I feel that love is harder to find for long hairs. Alright some women might compliment us for our hair or looks, but they might not actually like our mentality. I mean lots of long haired men in reality think differently. They are anti-fashion for instance. Some listen to anti-pop music, like Heavy Metal. Others dont think that the common way of thinking of society is wrong. We are all some kind of "outcasts" or rebels.
Is it just me or do you guys also feel that we are less likely to find happiness in this world without compromising our real beliefs ?
Tarikh:
Compare this with your description of Longhairs: I am a 43 year old father of three, married for 21 years; Latin teacher who used to be a Methodist minister. I like to garden, paint, work out. I am a licensed massage therapist. I enjoy music ranging from pop to classical and jazz. I am liberal on most counts. I like nice looking clothes. I practice Buddhist meditation and yoga.
Which catagory do I fit? None, really. My point is that longhaired men are as diverse as any group. So are the men and women who might be attracted, distracted and unattracted to us.

Long hair mentality....... I just want my hair long cause I like the way it looks.
I agree completely. My hair is not my identity. It's just a part of my appearance. Just because I have long hair doesn't mean I'm uninterested in fashion, pigeonhole myself into liking specific musics or social activities or change my personal ideologies and morals. If you think someone's going to love you or not because of your hair length or style, you're sorely mistaken. Physical attraction may be about appearance, but love is about soul. Look for love with someone who connects with you emotionally.
That said, my girlfriend HAS been dropping not-so-subtle hints about trimming "just a couple of inches..." :-(
Yeah cause your a poof.
I'm a poof? wtf?
I think men with long hair are attractive.
Are you scouse?
True happiness is found within. Love will happen when it happens.
I think this may be true to some extent and there are any number
of reasons for this...
Many woman may actually like Longhaired men...admire them, even, but...
perhaps when it comes down to the 'nesting' instincts, they may
view a longhaired man as too "free & independent thinking"...
Perhaps when it comes down to choosing a mate, things are a bit different
than just having a romatic relationship?
LONG HAIR definitely makes some women react more freely towards me
than I have ever experienced before..
NOW it is they who start the conversation...and just yesterday this
happened to me: this woman started talking to me out of the blue!
(She had a blue tattoo just above her breast, which means she is also a bit of a 'free sprit')
But anyway, when it comes to a SERIOUS long-term relationship, these
same women
want someone who is stable & reliable...
and perhaps some women will think the guy with long hair
is just a bit too free-spirited to 'hang around' for very long.
Anyway, that just one view...
I get your point, I feel it`s the same thing too. It`s like we are part of the circus. It`s good to see, but living there becomes kinda boring.
...or want it to be?
I don't see it. What I do see is people of every description finding other people to hook up with. Fat, skinny, tall, short ugly, pretty, short haired, long haired, it just doesn't matter.
If you are really feeling down about it just watch the Springer show and you'll see fat, toothless, semi-retarded folks with one or more people on their knees professing their undying love for them even after they just did the worst possible sort of things to them.
My dog loves me just fine!
Yes, if all those fat, skinny, tall, short ugly, pretty, short haired, long haired 'people' can claim they love each other...
then anything is possible . . .he..he...
...that show shows that anything is possible!
No, I think that we are MORE likely to find happiness in this world because we don't compromise our real beliefs!
I don't think so. True love has always been hard to find.
Anyway, my ex-girlfriend is here to visit, so I have to go (heh heh).
I wouldn't cut my hair for ANYONE. If a chick can't except me for who I am or what I look like, than shes not worth dating.
Society is very judgemental about peoples' appearance, I know because I have a mohawk. So I think it is difficult finding love. SO what I have to say about society judging people based on looks towards the long haired and punks of society is this," F**K PEOPLE AND EAST SH*T AND DIE JUDGEMENTAL BASTARDS!!"
