Boys and girls:
Thanks for all the great feedback on my picture. I threw a bunch of my pictures up on a quick template site.

I think I have a hair type that a lot of you have: VERY thick, frizzy, and between curyl and wavy, so hopefully checking out my pictures in the various stages will be inspirational or helpful to some.
As far as regimen goes, because I work out almost daily, I have to at least rinse when I shower. Because I'm a drummer by trade, I get sweaty, so some days include three or four showers even. I wash my hair one to two times a week with Loreal Curl Vive shampoo. I rinse and condition with Loreal Vive Smooth Intense conditioned every time I shower. I squeeze dry, and try to avoid the towel as much as possible. I had been using Physique's Frizz Control Curl Cream with pretty decent success. I'm now trying their Structuring Gel in its place to try to better define the curls. On days that I want it out of my face, I try to really squeeze as much water as I can get out, and put in Aussie Natural Gel, as it's less fake/crunchy/slimy-looking when it's tied back. I let it dry at least an hour before I pony it.
So there ya go. Hope this is helpful/inspriational to somebody.
Very nice!! Thanks.
i gara say you got realy nice lock of hair man, i like it :-)
GOOD LUCK WITH IT!!!

My hair is turning out to be exactly like yours! I have always worn my hair short. My last haircut was November 2002. So I'm only at the beginning of the awkward stage! Ahhhhhhhhh! Anyway, thanks for the inspiration!
Glad to help. Keep the faith. The next year will be rough, but it's totally worth it. Stock up on a couple of bandannas at the dollar store and a pack of Scrunci rubber bands (the fat ones with no metal) and they'll help you survive the summer.
Wow I must say I'm amazed at your weight loss, if you don't mind me commenting! Way to go!
Awesome hair as well, mines also like yours, although SLIGHTLY less curly, looks good, though.
Thanks! It was actually a lot easier than I expected.
Amazing difference! With or without eyeglasses, with or without lots of weight, along with or without long hair, you look like 2 totally different people (and you look wayyyy better now).
I'm taking the liberty to enclose one of your web page's photo of you from some time ago to highlight what I'm referring to----everyone should compare it with the picture of you in your "Pic, finally" post from 6-11.
Thanks Tammy! :-)
Wow! It is great how you chronicled your progress. It is also wonderful to see your transformation into a very handsome man! Being a woman with hair a few inches from my waist... I can totally appreciate all the work a beautiful, clean mane can be and applaud you for your efforts! Keep up the good work.
