hey everybody, I've only posted once before, but I browse this site constantly. It's been really helpful to know I'm not alone, especially being in the middle of the awkward stage. But anyway, I just wanted some recommendations on controlling really frizzy, curly hair. I know someone asked this question not to long ago, but I already use aussie moist shampoo and conditioner(and love it) and just wanted to see what other recommendations or tips I could get. Thanks a lot for any information!
Consider any or all of these:
1. Shampoo less frequently (1-2x/wk)
2. Wash with cold water
3. Heavy conditioner designed for "problem", "fly-away", etc. hair.
4. Don't brush/comb it.
5. Let it dry, put it in place (with finigers) and don't touch it.
6. Use some sort of product: gel, mousse, control cream, etc.
7. Vitamin suppliment
8. Eat better, drink more water
9. Embrace the "white man 'fro" while you have it. It's fun and girls like it you let it be big.
Good accumulation of wisdom Dan.
I have a different kind of "fizz" going on. As I am 47, when it's a day I haven't shampooed for a day or two, these new curly hairs start sticking up all over. Asked my hair gal and she said it's new growth. Well, then I'll live with it, sure ain't gonna see me complain at my age, LOL.

Thanks T. Have you tried just rinsing and conditioning on the days/showers where you don't shampoo?
I doubt I could go more than 18 hours on a normal day without a shower with at least a rinse. Then again, I'm frequently sweaty often in my day, so YMMV. :-)
I have the frizz problem, it seems to be a lot worse in the summer months! Today I put some serum onto dampened hair and then tried dampening it once or twice in my day (im in school and cant keep my hair as nice as id like to)... its a lot better! So id try dampening and lightly gelling it with a anti frizz gel.
There's no way around it...
Either that...or a hat!
