I am back at it, so to speak. I have decided after many personal struggles (not the least pertaining to my hair) to regrow my hair. I feel destined to be a longhair; its definitely in my soul. My favorite uncle grew up in the 80s and had awesome hair. I remember when he cut it, it was around high school graduation and I was probably 5 or 6. It didnt seem the same after he cut it, lol. I think the length of his hair was instilled in me as a seed, and as I got older it sprouted, so to speak. I tried to grow my hair repeatedly throughout the last four years, in high school. I lived through high school stuck in the awkward stage. Seems every time that I tried growing it, something got in my way, and I had to start over. Ive been reading this message board for the last 4 years, even for the past few months that I have been a short-haired norm. Ive learned tips and got encouragement along the way to my destined longhair statute. Sadly, along the way, personal problems conflicted with the outcome. I have finally gotten to a point in my life as to where I feel I have complete control. As a recent high school graduate, I am off to college in the fall. Which means a new start on life; I feel that growing my hair (for real) will go along well with the new circumstances, friends, etc. I guess the point of this story (epic, novel? lol) is that this board has a lot of really great people with really great advice. I dont know if anyone remembers me on this board, but I guess Ill be starting a new journey for all to follow along with, lol. I probably have been through the awkward stage at least 5 times in the past 4 years, probably more. Well I guess youre getting tired of this story of epic proportions. I am just trying to say that im doing it for all the RIGHT reason now... Later!
PS, my screenname on here used to be "Justin B" but i see now they have another Justin, so i'll be known as JB from now on....
That was a great story. Thanx for sharing it with the Board which is,
as you mentioned, made up of great individuals...
Good luck with having 'more control' . . .Good luck with college. . .Good luck with your 'new start on Life' . . .
and just plain...
GOOD LUCK!!!
So... what ever happened to your uncle?
Good Luck,
Steve
Hi!
Stick with it!!! Looks like college is the perfect time to grow your hair. There may be temptations to cut it from time to time, but unless you decide you really don't like your hair long, persevere with it! Chances are you won't be alone as it looks like long hair is back in fashion now - you'll probably be growing your hair alongside several other male students.
Good Luck,
Barry!
