I'm going to go with Baldie the eagle's idea for birthdays instead of age. It'll solve the confusion and be less work for me. So, post your bd!

I changed Age to Birthdate, so it looks kinda funny right now!
If you would prefer not to give that info, let me know and I'll remove that stat. Or, if you'd rather just give your age, I'll switch it back to age but it's up to you to let me know when I should change it (and say happy b-day!).

For the record, I was born on July 21, 1952. Raised and living in California.
I have observed hair changes since the 60's. I was subject to my fathers idea of low maintinance hair. In the 50's, It was called either a butch, crew cut or flat-top. What ever it was called, it never let my hair grow much past one inch for the first 12 years of my life. When I was allowed to let it grow out, I was in the sixth grade. I noticed it was rather blond. I always wanted to have long hair but the opportunity wouldn't come up for some time.
I grew it long from 1973-1976. Cut it for a job.
Then I grew it long from 1993-1997. Cut it, forgot why.
May 16, 2001 was the last time I got a hair cut. Today, it is about 17 inches long. I love it and I plan on keeping my hair long.
Even at almost age 51, the blond color is still all there. I don't do a thing to it except wash and condition daily with Aussie products. Some women have told me they hate my hair. I find that to be true with the ones who wish they had it.
By the way, I'm a single father raising 2 sons, now ages 12 & 14, and have been working at the same company for almost 24 years. Long hair isn't just for the open-minded, but the young at heart.
Keep it long, all. Good luck in the process. Never give up.
