What do men use to tie their hair into a pony tail? Rubber Bands?
Sweet mercifull crap no. Don't ever use a rubber band, they can really damage your hair. Get those soft elastic things. They are super cheap, and you can get them anywhere. I see them in convenience stores and grocery stores all the time, usually around the shampoo.
No. Those are bad for your hair. I use ponytail bands just the same as the girls do. The best ones are those that don't have a metal clasp exposed, from the point of view of not damaging your hair. Black ones and primary colours look more masculine, as opposed to, say, pink.
Those are actually kinda bad for your hair too, because they seem to get the hair wrapped around them and then you have to yank for dear life to get them out (they're ok for braids though). Otherwise, I don't use the things. I use cloth-covered elastic bands (a.k.a. Scrunchies), but those aren't terribly appropriate for guys. I guess you can use those soft puffy elastic thingies, they seem to be a little easier on the hair. But if you don't care, Scrunchies are definitely the way to go.
Just the thought of a regular rubber band in my hair gives me the willies...ugh. As Ahren said, sweet merciful crap no! LOL
