Far and away the best product I've used for detangling is Pantene spray-on leave-on conditioner/detangler (I forget exactly what the label says).
Agree with Victor. I use the Pantene pump spray leave in Conditioner for two uses. First, after shampoo while my hair is wet to detangle before I comb. Also, on days where I am in a rush and can not shampoo, spray all over to wet, then comb and then blowdry with a round brush and it looks like you shampooed your hair. It's light and very manageable.
