That all depends on your own type of curly hair (many types). The best way to find out is to just try it and see how it acts. If nothing else you will gain more knowledge about your hair.

Gravity will work its magic once your hair starts getting longer. If you have genuinely curly hair (not waves), the curls will just be looser, but they'll never be stick-straight without a little help from hair products.
