Hi
My hair is currently about half way down my back. I haven't decided how long I will let it get yet. Guess I will see how long it gets.
It is very fine, and seems to get greasy REALLY fast. I currently wash and condition it everyday, but I'm conserned its getting damaged.
Also, I've recently started to get (or notice) split-ends. I was wondering if this could be caused by having wet hair in sun-zero temperatures? What can I do about them. Is the only solution a (dare I say it) trim?
Paul
I also have very fine hair that I've had long for almost 25 years. I have found that conditioning every time I wash seemed to promote greasy hair. I only use conditioner when my hair seems dry.
As for washing I use the smallest amount of shampoo to do the job, usually much less than the product recommends. If the shampoo seems to disappear without lathering, rinse and repeat using the same amount or less.
I don't do much with my split ends. To me it's natures way of trimming your hair. My hair has stayed at a little longer then shoulder length for the about the last 10 years. Back in 1976 my hair was down to about the middle of my butt. If split ends really bug you, careful trimming is in order. Blow drying also seems to promote split ends.
