Hey there dudes and dudettes (although this wont pply to you) just wonderin what you guys do with your side burns, like how far up do you shave? Also what about those little annoying hairs on the base of your neck that grow to nothing, anyone got any pics of a decent trim? As I have long hair just wanting to sort out these 'tattier' bits. ...have a goatee and very small sideburns. Now I've shaven both off. It's just my preference now. As far as the neck hairs, I haven't touched them for a while. However, my hair is only about 8 inches long now and I can't get my hair into a tail yet so I don't know if I'll end up cutting the neck hairs eventually. We'll see...
I gots Lambchop sideburns... like lemmy... coz thats the way i love em... now all i need is the long hair!
My sideburns are at the bottom of each ear lobe. I keep them trimmed with...of all things...a dog trimmer. That way they don't get bushy. I prefer long 'burns rather than short or none.
As for neck hairs, I shave them! I use my hand to cover the real hair and shave along the edge of my hand. Neck hairs will never get very long and tend to look really bad!
I don't have sideburns. I keep them shaved off.
Sideburns extend just below earlobe. Hairs on back of neck look awful to me..........so I use a rear-view mirror and once every two weeks shave them off. Nothing worse looking than a nice Ponytail with neck hair wrecking-up the nice "clean-look." (My opinion only of course.)
My sideburns extend down to the jaw bone (the "hinge" area below the ears), and I have a goatee (without the mustache).
As for the neck hair, yeah I've been looking at that too. I'm going to do something about it eventually.
I shave my sideburns up to almost the top of my ears. Some guys I have seen them trimed up above the ears some, but that just doesn't look right to me. As for the neck hairs I just let them be. I don't think they look messy really. They are really soft and I like to play with them. I twirl them around my finger and such. But some people think they look bad. So I guess it's just a matter of personal taste.
As far as the burns go, personally I look for the line between head hair and face hair, ones soft, ones brittle, I shave the face hair and leave the head hair. No stumps around the ears then.
As for neck hair mines light and my hair isn't long enought for a tail either, I guess I can't really say... Just do what feels right man! I guess if its thick its best to shave, go careful tho!
I keep my sideburns trimmed to about the middle of my ear. I shave the neck hairs to the hairline (*very* carefully). I do this because I am very hairy and have dark hair. The back of my neck starts to look scraggly if I let the hairs grow too long.
