  My stylist told me that products designed to treat baldness such as Rogaine and Nioxin will speed the growth of my hair and keep it healthy. I'm growing my hair out, and would welcome accelarated growth as long as it does not damage my hair. Any advice would be appreciated.

    I do not believe that the rate of growth is increased with either Rogaine or Propecia- the thickness, fullness and retention of follicles however creates an appearance of fullness and a great deal more hair after 4- months and it appears to get better with time and allowing it to lengthen naturally. I've been on Rogaine for 9 years and Propecia 2 years this month and have more hair now than I did at 16- I am now 50...JL
