Last night I went to a metal bar for the first time in months. Id almost forgot how fun it is. Anyway, If you want to see the extremes of long hair on guys, it's definitely there. Whether or not you like the music is irrelevant. On one side you have guys that dont look like theyve showered in weeks and their hair is all scrappy and nasty. Then you have the guys that definitely take care of their hair. Its nice and long and well groomed. It makes me really want my long hair NOW!

What city was this in, and what extremes of length did you see?
I live in Columbus, Ohio. There were probably 6 people that I saw with hair down to their mid-buts, usually very straight hair. I saw a show once with a group called Incantation with his hair EASILY near his knees, jet-black, and perfectly straight! He would bend over while playing his guitar and he'd disappear!
Awesome! I did a web search, but was unable to find any good, recent photos. The photo I found (which you should see on this page) is on a web page (just remove the 'incantband.GIF' part of the URL) that, as far as I can tell, was last updated in 1996.
Looking at the photo, all of their hair is no longer than a few inches past their shoulders. OK, add 3 years at 7"/year hair growth and you maybe get hair to their waists. Of course, the photo could be older than the web page.
Can anybody find a better photo? There is www.incantation.com, but, even in their Photo Gallery, you don't get clear shots of the band members.
I tried looking for a better pic. No luck. When I saw the band, there were 3 members. None of the guys actually look like the guy I saw. I know they constantly go through member changes. The long hair in question looked at least part native american which might help explain the perfectly straight, long thick black hair. Anybody remember the movie Creepshow? Their was a Native American actor who had really long thick black hair in that movie. Very similar, but not quite as long.
