Ok. I've never grown out my hair before, I have always had it short. In fact, 2002 was all about shaved head. Well just this past March, I think it was the last time I ever got it shaved off, I decided to let my hair grow just a little bit and I got a trim in April. After that I never got my hair cut. I never thought of having long hair and how it would suit me so I decided to just leave it and see what happens, you know, try something different. As the months flew by my hair started growing a lot. Now being in the "awkard" stage, and I really really do hate it...I decided to do a google "long hair for men" and landed here. I'm glad I did 'cause after reading some of the posts I felt better. You guys are all about encouragement and DON'T CUT IT!

That's a good goal. It looks like he has about 18 months of growth. One thing I will mention is that Xavier is wearing his ponytail rather high. Males typically wear it down closer to the back of the neck. He may be wearing it this way to make sure it stays in place when he is playing tennis. I'd look at pictures of him when he is off court to see how he *really* wears it. With your five months growth, you can have hair his length in about 13 months. BTW, for the fastest progress you should avoid or minimize trims, if your circumstances allow it.

I never posted any pics of myself do you guys use digital cameras ive been growing for about 2 years and its past my shoulders and i d liek to post some of myself so do i need a digital cam?

Welcome! Glad you decided to post. Yes, the awkward stage is awful for lots of guys, but it shall pass. Hang in there, it will be worth it!
