hey hi guys.. my hair is really wavy....and curly, i always keep my hair wet...coz that's the only way i can keep my hair looking good. if it goes dry....i look weird. i wash my hair like 15 times a day...is it ok!! i even did hair straightin once. i have got this WELLA STRATE cream..is it ok to use it??!!. or is there any non- cemical way to straightin my hair. people told me to apply honey!! that makes ur hair straight. anyway i love u people...and the site ofcourse
Hmm... is this a joke? 15 times/day? ;)
I also used to think my hair looked good wet, though would never have kept it wet going out ;) Now when it's longer it looks too "spidery" wet though.
The only non-checmical way to straighten the hair would be to use a straightening iron, or blow dry your hair straight using a round brush (really, really hard).
If chemicals is a possibility, you could always go to a saloon and get it permanently straight. It does cost a few bucks, and you usually have to redo it every 3 months or so, but it works...
If your hair is long enough to weight itself down, and not too curly. You could try using a good straightening balm, apply it to your wet hair. And then blow dry (using this pointy thingie ;) your hair, using hot and strong settings, making sure the air blows DOWN. This works for some people, though it won't be perfect, it will get a lot straighter than before.
I'm not sure how long your hair is, since you did not indicate a length, but my hair is wavy and curly and looks it best on my non-wash days. I shampoo it once or twice a week, depending on my hair's needs and condition it every other day or so. I am fortunate that my hair is not very oily and the oil from my scalp that does go into my hair on my non-wash days gives it just enough for it to weigh down real nice as well as feeling not so dry. Experiment with your hair for a couple of weeks to a month and see what works best for your hair and scalp. Sounds to me that you are over-washing your hair causing more stress than is needed. If you keep washing your hair that much, the vicious cycle will only continue.
Good luck!
Don't use honey in your hair...at least not if you don't really know what you are trying to do. Honey is thick and sticky and will make a mess of your hair.
