I'm going into a slon tomorrow and I'm tempted to get my hair cut, possibly like Richard Gere's hair in the above pic at this link......

I thought it might be good because my hair is a bit thick and wavy but I'm not sure what I should do. My hair seems a bit thinner in the front bit it might be because of the longer length and the back feels a bit bushier. I feel if I have it cut shorter it may not look the way I thought and I would end up regretting it.
I don't know what I should do.
How long is your hair at the moment?
I'd say go for it if you only stand to loose an inch or so.
Couple of months and you'll be back, thats not hard to comeback from... if you have much longer hair I'd think carefully before going in for something like that, its amazing how much better you can feel about your hair just by having then ends taken off and it tidied-up a bit.

If you feel the cut would suit you, then i say go for it. But if you're gonna lose a lot of length, and that bothers you, then you should definitely think about this a little longer. *no pun intended* I don't see the big deal about his hair, but thats the nature of opinions i guess. But its just hair, and hair should be for loving! And if you're not liking your current hairstyle, then why not try something different? I dunno, the whole issue of getting a haircut to look similiar to a stars doo is totally lost on me!
Think about it for a couple of weeks, and if you still want to do it after that amount of time, then great. I made a split second decision to cut my layers at the bottom for a straight cut across the bottom, now I regret it, wish I would have thought about it a couple of weeks :(
Two certainties in life, man: ants don't seem to every sleep and hair always grows. If it doesn't work out, you'll be right back where you are in a couple months. Send along a pic. Josh
