I think we have all seen people with knee length hair and longer, but has anyone ever had the chance to talk to any of these people about their hair care rituals? I mean is the reason their hair has such a long terminal length purely genetic? or is there something they do that lets it keep growing? Also what does their shower drain look like when theyre finished? Now that my hair is approaching waist length Id really like to hear any tips that may help me along the way.
It's genetic. For example Crystal Gayle, who grows her hair to about 3 inches from the floor, has hair that grows more than an inch a month.
I didn't know there was a distinction between normal hair growers and "profesionals".
LOL, can we all be paid somehow to grow our hair long? That's the usual definition of a professional..someone who is paid for what they do.
Looks good on a resume too...

Every Tom, Dick, and Harry can grow long hair, or at least make an attempt at it. No need to even be serious about it as RD points out. I sure was not.
To answer Doomlord's questions (there are more of them out there than one might think):
As Victor mentioned already, it is genes at work and sadly men on the average get the genetic short shrift. There are some wonderful exceptions though. Two weeks ago I had the great pleasure of spending some time with a calf-lengthed friend of mine and his hair was the focus of conversation for some time. His hints? Sillica is something he credits toward a decreased fallout rate to thicken his ends and he also takes a regular vitamin along with a hair one.
The drain? Well, it looks hairy.
