took 3 hours to get that much done and should have another 6 or 7 hours more to sit..
Pretty cool though...
I don't think i could take that much pain
Rather strange hair....?
Maybe this is just the old guy talking (though at 43 I don't consider myself old). Let's just say I am probably a good bit older than you. I am curious. I have no tatoos, and it's not anything I've ever wanted to do. I find some well placed (my judgment) tatoos attractive. Do you ever have a concern that 20 years from now you won't want all these images and designs on your skin?
And, having asked this, it's really none of my business.

That reminds me...
10 years ago, I approached my father about having my shin tatooed with the visage of a comic book character I was really into at the time. I was still living at home, and wasn't entirely sure how he'd react to the idea. Of course, I was well over 18, so it wasn't as though I needed his permission. I just wanted his input on the issue.
He told me I was welcome to do whatever I wanted, but that his only concern was with the permanency of tattoos. If there's only one truth in life, it's that people do change with time. Their interests change, their attitudes toward life change, etc.. He urged me to consider just one question before going ahead with my idea:
Is this something you can see yourself enjoying when you're old and grey? If the answer is yes, then go for it. If the answer is no, then it's probably not something you should do.
That was 10 years ago, and my shin has yet to have a single mark put on it.
hehehe
Clarko,
Good luck, man! It looks wicked!
Didn't the inner elbow hurt? I agree with santiago, I really don't think I could handle that much pain. Especially if I was paying for it. LOL
yes the inner elbow hurt alot.. as for the pain i liked it.. and as for not liking it in 20 yrs... well il be a tattoo artist so its going to be part of what i do for the rest of my life too not just a design on my arm
TRIBAL! (But, for the most part it is actually a type of "Art Nouveau" form.) "Art Nouveau," a short lived period of the arts from about 1890-1920. Very much sought after today. L.C. Tiffany seems to "top-the-cake" with this revolutionary movement. About the Tat Hurt? Depends where it is done. And it ONLY hurts while the needle is doing it's job. The second the needle stops, one is not aware that anything happened. Something kind of nice about "Tribal." And about: "Will you regret it 20 years from now?" Impossible to know........and, you are alive NOW! I once had someone say to me: "What will the Undertaker think when he sees some of the things you have?" Ha ha ha! Really...........will I even know? Besides, I could "care Less" at that point. You got alot done in 3 hours.
so if you don't like it in the future do you just cut it off? :)
sorry couldn't help myself...
looks "wicked" ...as someone mentioned earlier...
a friend of mine is getting his right arm sleeved next year
pretty awsome. :)
i dont have any of my own, but i can definitly appreciate a good tattoo. my bro wants me to draw his next one, actually.
did you make the design yourself?
yeah i did.. 4 - 5 yrs in the making. took me a while to decide what i want
Fantastic ! You got a lot done in 3 hours. I'm considering sleevework myself but haven't got round to designing something that would incorporate what's already on my arms.
As for the pain, I don't like it but (as someone further down said) it stops the instant the needle stops. The worst tattoo pain for me was the centre of my chest. I could only stand half an hour at a time. A bit of hair-related irony - my chest is gorilla-hairy and I had to shave it all off for the tattooist! I shave it every now and then so I can get a better view of the tat !
Please keep us posted with your tattoo progress (if the pics also include your hair progress then they won't be off-topic).
PS My hair's getting greyer (and longer) and I'm still getting new tattoos ! (Old man of 41)
