Hey all, I heard about biotin on this board and decided to to give it a try, my hairs always grown just below the average rate so maybe this will help. I know a lot of you have used and continue to use it so I wanted to hear about the results youve noticed, if any. thanks!
I have been using it since I started growing my hair again ... and was using it when I had long hair before. I have not measure the results (if any) but do feel that it does make my hair grow faster than if I didn't use it.
It doesn't hurt and you can get a 100 tablet - 1000mcg - bottle at Target for $2.49, so it's worth trying IMHO.
Hi, i took biotin along with foti (chinese herb) for about 3 months. I stopped b/c it got somewhat expensive, however in those three months, i grew a documented 2.25 inches. That is like almost an inch more than i should have grown. like 75% or something, but i guess its hard to say b/c coincidentally it was during the summer that i experimented. I may start using biotin again as my hair growth rate has seemed to slow wayyyyyyy down.
My Mom had some thinning in her hair and tried it with good results (according to her). I've looked in my Alternative Medicine Journal but there hasn't really been any research on it.
Keep us posted.

Since I use Hair Vitamins (which contain Biotin), and Biotin also seperate, my hair length has exceeded all limitations that I had over 25 years. The hair nearly has doubled it's length.
Maybe a part of the new length is a result of increase in hair care (avoiding breakage).
Biotin and/or Ultra Hair Plus seems to improve the length but not the thickness of the hair, however, male pattern baldness couldn't catch my hair until now, although it is a little bit thin.
I use Ultra Hair (Plus) since about 2 - 3 years and in addition Biotin since 1/2 year.
