Ok, for all the negative things about curly hair (slow to see length develop, frizzy etc. . .) I have found a real positive thing: warmth. I was born and raised in Houston, where there's plenty of heat and humidity, I developed a natural tolerance for the heat. I love warm weather, and I never could stand to be out in the cold. Now with a nice football helmet sized head of hair, I'm warmer! Like I can really tell the difference! People are complaining about the cold weather, and I'm just walking along enjoying the brisk breeze!
Go figure, I knew there had to be something better about curly hair than straight hair! ;)

It's really nice, isn't it? I didn't realize that it would make that much of a difference, either, until recently.
Yeah, the "R" (insulation) value of straight hair is probably a
negative number. :-)
Well, at least I can wrap my hair around my neck like a scarf. :-)
