Hi,
when I was a baby and a kid, I had hair that was rather long., it not being short like most other babies.
Even with such semi long, people were ging me sh!t about it. Grown ups were already telling my parents to cut my hair and at school, my fellow pupils were also calling me a girl.
To think of it the b@stards ! Even when you are young and a toddler, they have something to say.
What I regret is that I responded to the pressure and finally got it cut.
Fortunately in 1991 I started to grow it again despite what these plonkers say.
Never listen to what these animals say.
Forgive my language, but still I`m being too kind with them.

Hm... if i would be a parent, I would cut the hair of my son short.
The reason for that, is the discrimination against ppl with longer hair. I wouldn´t want my son to be treatend like that... Somebody who gets discriminated against in such a young age could get emotional problems in the future or could take damage from that.
In later years (when the child is 10 or so) I would let my son make decisions on his own, so he can have the hairstyle he wants, and likes most. The reason for that is that he is old enough at this age to make choices himself. Most people, who are older, can also handle discrimination and problems with other people better, than if you are young.
On the other hand, it was also really cool from your parents not caring about what these other people say about you. Well that was my opinion on this thema

I dont see how that is considered long hair. Some people are very stupid and pathetic. I seen many young toddlers with hair similar to this because kids have such nice hair at that age. Last time I checked I never seen a toddler with a buzz cut.
um.. your argument makes no sense whatsover. Instead of letting the child's hair grow naturally as nature intended, the parents should cut it off and keep it trimmed? Because that's not making a decision for the kid?
Lol, good logic. But I think what deathsc0ut means is that by taking a decision to cut your kids hair your are taking a decision to protect them from harrassment in their early years and they can make up there own mind when they are old enough to understand the issues they may face.
Whilst I dont necessarilly agree with deasthsc0ut every parent has to take decisions for their child's protection and well being, each will make his own decision acording to what they think is right. I have a lot of respect for Challakee who obviously feels that her son is a good environment whereby she feels that he is safe from damaging harrasment.
Believe me, I NEVER have listened to those meddlers who can't mind their own business. BOTH of my sons were Longhair babies that equal about what you have shown us. ANYBODY could tell they were boys, but comments flew here and there from strangers such as "what a sweet little girl." So, by 4 or 5 they got buzz-cloned like everybody else. Now however they are older and currently (most probably because of myself) are growing their hair long. Shoulder length at present. But would you believe..........the kids in school seem to like the look. A few of their friends want long hair, but their parents won't allow. Reason: It would make them look like a girl!
theres nothing wrong with that hair........people and that damn buzzed haircut crap.........my hair looked like that when i was that age thick and wavy
I have a three year old boy with blonde ringlets that hang past his shoulderblades. When wet, his hair is mid-back. I get a lot of crap for this. My daughter's hair is past mid-back, and my older son had a long "skater" cut until pressure from kids at school made him want to cut it. I, myself, have hair that is mid-butt, and my boyfriend has hair to his waist.
gotta love it!
Do you have a photo of him? I remember a couple about 10 years ago who had 3 sons with mid back to waist length hair. They varied in age from 4 to 8 years old. My advice is to not let people pressure you into cutting his hair. Teach him that long hair is really special and that if it is cut it takes a long time to grow back. Also it would be cool to see a photo of you and your boyfriend side by side too. Absalom
Okay, the photo shows a pretty little boy, but I wouldn't say he has long hair,
Many posts on this site are talking of little boys with r e a l l y long hair, and some show even photos of them. Unfortunately, there are only a few photos. The longest hair on a little boy I found was presented by Shirley, nearly 3 years ago. Go to "Archives", search "Shirley", then go to "5yr old boy pic".
IN addition a link to a little boy with rather long hair.
Sorry, I forgot the link. Here it is.
