If I go without shampooing for a few days my hair gets really oily and once I do shampoo and condition my hair gets extremely dry and gets hard for me to comb.So can anyone sugjest a good shampoo and conditioner for my type of hair. Also my hair is straight.
Cold winter temperatures are hard on your hair. As your hair gets longer you will need to use a high quality shampoo that puts moisture back into your hair. Get a shampoo that is made for dry hair. Absalom
I only use salon products. I let the people there know my goals, my problems with dry hair when I shampoo, etc., and they've been able to help me out. I live in Denver, very dry place, so I personally use Matrix products recommended by a stylist. So far, nothing discouraging to report. My hair's fine and wavy but after shampoo and conditioning, it can look kind of wild. I use a creme, also by Matrix, before I brush and it really lets that brush pull through the hair with no hangups. Again, professional products and advice from the pros gets me looking good and staying that way. Josh
I suggest reading the book, 'Don't go Shopping for Hair Care Products Without Me' by Paula Begoun...it contains a wealth of very accurate information about what to look for in all kinds of hair care products. This can save you a lot of money and you won't fall for all the gimmicks out there.
I agree, stick to salon products, they are more gentle on the hair and have higher quality ingredients.
Aveda is a really good one.
So is back to basics.
