here's my problem:
Ive been growing my hard for around 6 months.. and Ive been having way too much trouble controlling it, my hair is not curly, but its not straight either, its more like wavy, but more into curly I guess.. hehe I dont know how to explain it, its some weird hair! Ive tried using gel but it still wont control it. anyways, hopefully Ill post some pics soon. anyways, is there any way to keep my hair above my ears to not curl up? looks pretty weird. also.. ive noticed that my hair is very dry, any tips to battle dry hair?
thanks

About the curly hair above the ears, my advice is to just tough it out. Curly haired people have the worst "akward stage", and there's not much you can do, short of taking a iron to it.
As for the dryness, I use Tresemme "Total Moisture" shampoo and conditioner. I wash and condition only about every 3-4 days.
Ask girls you know that have long hair, they're the best source, and try going a few days to let your natural scalp oils do their work.
All the Best,
That "Ball" Guy
I agree with the post about not washing your hair so much. Just wash every other day or as long as you can go without washing, depends on how oily your hair is.
Do a deep conditioning treatment once a week.
Use gentle shampoos, lots of the people on here recommend l'oreal vive, it is gentle.
I use Back to Basics, from a salon.
I have long healthy looking hair :)
when i was growing mine out from very short, mine flipped out too, i just used mousse in it and slicked it back and the waves eventually went away when my hair got past my shoulders.
hope this helps
