I need some help and advice.
I saw in an old salon an advert for singeing, I thought it might be interesting so I asked the lady who sets my hair at my normal salon if I could have it done on my next appointment for a roller set. She said she had not done one for over 2 years but she would do it if I wanted it. So I have booked an appointment. Now I am having second thougts, I cannot find any information on the web. What will be done when she singes my hair, will it hurt, smell, look burnt, or will I enjoy like other hairdressing experiences?
Please someone out there let me know what happens and has anybody had it done.
I've never heard of singeing. But anytime I hear of high burning heat mixed with hair I get scared. Very scared.
It sounds like a very poor way of trimming/cutting hair. Why would you even think about doing that?
Ha, ha, good question. Why do any fads start?! People just wanting to be different and liking the result of something they try
As someone who accidently did it many years ago when
I was trying to light a gas stove why on earth would
anyone want to do this?
For me when it happened it only affected my eyebrows, not my
waist lenght hair. Smelled awful, noticed nothing good about it.
That made me laugh!
I have a couple times in the past singed my bangs. I wasn't at all happy with it. I definitely wouldn't pay someone to do it.
That smell!!! It's the smell of hair death!
I've heard elderly relatives mention this as something that people did in the 1920's and 1930's. Sounds a bit dodgy to me !
