Has anyone ever heard of using eggs as a 'conditioner' or treatment for the hair? It seems as tho I remember something about it but can't really recall.
In the 1970s there was a fad of putting various unusual food items in shampoo. Eggs and beer are two that immediately come to mind.
its the protien!! just buy a reconstructor instead eg redken deep fuel/ joicio(?) reconstructor. it'll probably work better and wont smell (bad)
A girl once recommended the egg (whites only) treatment to me, so I tried it, but I didn't see any improvement so I went back to regular conditioner. I've also heard of mayonnaise, but the girl said the main thing in that is the oil.
Good ol' Tresemme!
Er... No thanks, I'll keep the eggs in the fridge.
I'd imagine if you used eggs or mayo, you'd stink to high heaven. And probably attract seagulls!
Not to mention what it would do to your cholesterol!
;)
Thanks for all the replies everyone.
I was just curious. I didn't have any intention of using them, unless of course they turned out to work fantasticlly!
Have a nice holiday season!
The whole egg thing began because it's protein...your hair is protein.
I'd put a deep conditioner on your hair and eat the egg. It'll do more for your hair from inside your body than it would on your hair.
Ok it seams Eggs do nothing but make you smell bad... Though Beer will strip your hair of everything, its a good yearly scrub, get rid of all the crap that your hair has had in it for all that time. Of course after using beer your going to want to shampoo and use a rinse as normal. I can usualy tell a difference after dousing myself in alcohol. I havent tried it with other beverages though I'd like to try a Gin and tonic scrub just for fun.
