Hey all - I'm still growing my hair out, it's about three or four inches long now, though the front is about five. However, I have wavy hair, and the front does not 'hang' - instead it sort of skulks about above my eyebrows. Also, the back has begun to flick out - Is there anything I can do to lessen the effect of this? And how long (usually) does this period last?
Everyone will have this problem, my hairdo suck right now, its 3 and 4 inches and its like a huge tidal wave at the back and anoying as hell.
I suppose its a matter of waiting....a long time :(
Yeah I thought the worst was over... (I've grown about 7 inches in the past year inspite of trims...)
Best thing I can suggest is getting a trim it normally sorts things out for me. I just have the back tidied up these days and I suspect that with the next one I'll have a bit taken off my bangs, just to even them out as they fall longer than the rest of my hair.
I just find that trimming to tidy up every 3 months makes me feel good enought about my hair to carry on growing. It'll be 3 months since my last trim at the end of January.
That'll complete my Year of growth. So there is still a long road ahead... well maybe another year!
