I wouldn't say that Chris is a troll. That type of shorthand (aka AOL talk) is popular with teens and preteens on the net these days. Believe it or not, many kids can read that as well as any of us could read Sorted's translation. I wouldn't call it illiteracy, just a new slant on our language (not necessarily a good one). While this is an extreme case, I think Chris is probably a younger guy who is used to writing that way (maybe for other youth message boards or internet conversations with friends) and he is assuming that there will be other people with the same type of writing here.
