Well, I'm going to have my mom even my ends a bit today. The bottom looks thin because of the V shape I accomplished by self trimming.
For all you hair dressers: Is it better to have your hair trimmed wet or dry? Is one way better for the hair than the other...like one may promote split ends or something?
I was going to wash and condition first...but then started to wonder if I should have it trimmed first?
I *think* you're better off to have a trim if it's wet. It's easier to see exactly what has been done. I could be wrong...
I visited a salon page that Hair Religion has posted as a link. That salon recommends triming hair when it is dry because you get a more accurate reading as to how much length you actually trimmed. They say that wet hair stretches and after it dries, it will appear to be shorter looking than what you thought was trimmed off because the hair as it dries comes out of its stretch.
My wife cuts all her clients hair wet as do most stylist, because it is easier for them to cut and be even.
