has anyone else here noticed that on some long haired men and women, the scalp can clearly be seen in the part (regardless of hair/scalp colour), while on others, the scalp is virtually invisible?
does anyone know why this is? my hair for example, is very coarse, about medium thickness, and its like the first type (scalp can be seen)
It has to do with how densly packed the hair follicles are. Some people just have more follicles per square inch than others do.
I think I heard that lighter hair coloured people have more hair's than the people with darker shades. Can anyone confirm this?

The number of hairs on the head varies with the colour of the hair: blonde, 140,000; brown, 110,000; black, 108,000; red, 90,000. Of course there are exceptions to this, but these are the AVERAGE numbers.
