Ive just come home and bought Aussie Miracle moist shampoo, so I'll let you know how I get on, crazytrain:)
Anyway, back to the point!, is there any link between taking Cod liver oil such as Seven seas and a big increase in rate of hair growth? I have been taking liquid cod liver oil since June and started to grow my hair out in late November. I found before I needed a haircut every fortnight! Doesnt it seem logical that any oil, especially cod liver oil, improves the shinyness of your hair, make it stronger, and also make it grow faster? Does anyone else here take cod liver oil suppliments? Maybe I can recommend taking it!

I agree with Hair Religion. It won't cause hair growth. The only possible exception is if it replaced a vitamin deficiency that you had.
Secondly, flax seed oil tends to be better for you than cod liver oil. It has all the omega 3 & 6 FFAs (free fatty acids) that help to prevent heart disease. Best of all, it's made from crushed up seeds rather than crushed up mercury-and-other-heavy-metal-containing fish guts. It's also good for joints (the kind inbetween your bones :)

When younger, I had an Aunt who all of a sudden swore by "Cod Liver Oil." As kids we were all forced to take it because it did this and that that everyone needed according to her. Strange as it may be, there is NO history of baldness whatever that runs on either side of the family with the exception of one case.........this Aunt who began to lose her hair several months after her "COD LIVER OIL KICK!" (She "upped the dose" telling us that this would grow what she was losing back.) In 6 months she was totally bald! No doctors could explain the cause. Needless to say, the rest of the family ceased taking Cod Liver Oil.

I will stop taking the oil tomorrow and buy flax seed oil, are there any good brands to look out for, I live in the UK so I may not have all the brands in our heavily undeveloped country, heh heh:)

There are many brands. barleans brand ( www.barleans.com ) is a really good one. I've tried and can't get used to the taste so I take the gel caps, which cost more. That website has lots of good medical info as well.
GNC is a store here ( www.gnc.com ) that has quality products as well. I would avoid products from the large chain stores such as WalMart because they tend to purchase on a price rather than quality basis (my opinion only).
