My name here previously was Charles Bottoms, but my nickname is Ivix. I'll use that from now on. I would like to know from some of you guys with waist or butt length hair how long it took you to grow it that long.
It takes several or more years.
It's hard to say exactly how long due to maintence trims and having incorporated it into one's lifestyle after having hair "long" for so long. Growing it more after it's long, though your goal, may not stay as a daily focus of your attention because you already know that it will keep getting longer (or at least stay as long) if you just keep doing what you are already doing.
Read what Hair Religion said. He's the ONE source of info on this board that I think pretty much can cover anything related to this topic. Like me, he's been a longhair for a long time. I've had long hair since the 1970s, and I think he has too.
Read his RAQ for details, and be PATIENT! It'll be a long while before you get to the length we have, but if you stick it out in 10 years it'll be YOU up here giving real world, practical advice.
