I'm still straightening it, but I don't have to quite as much. I've also been using Matrix Biolage hair shine stuff so it doesn't look so dead. :D

When will the one year mark be??? Just curious
Well Jamie, not knowing from what the lenght your hair was when you made a decision to grow it long, I don't know what the "One Year Mark" will be. But, let's just say this: What you have at present is fabulous and I fail to see how people will ridicule you as you look now. (If they do, it is probably because they are jealous or in hopes of establishing a "put-down" based on their own ideals or insecurities that you are not the typical of today your age meaning "style.") If you started from nothing, you look just about like 1 years growth already to my eyes. Fashion magazines are showing more and more men with hair your length or longer recently. So, in my opinion, you have the upper-hand already! Ha ha ha........when the "Society" that can only follow (like a flock of sheep everyone else) and not be themselves all of a sudden begins to grow their hair longer, it is VERY POSSIBLE that you will be an idol to them. FUN! :-) The REAL thing here is to feel happy about yourself as your own unique individual and be able to express yourself without others telling you how you should wear your hair. (You hardly look sad in those pics.) I think you are among the "lucky" as your hair appears the ideal-type that will see you through the so called "awkward-stage" without any real problems.
Well, back to your question: your hair RIGHT NOW has the apperance of a long period of growth. And...........it looks great! And.........it will only get better.
Thanks a lot!! That's really encouraging!! :-D Lemme see here... I will be nearing a year in June I believe. I love my hair and have always wanted it long. Hey, I'm a rocker, what can I say. I play guitar and sing (hair metal screams and all included) so it's a must have.

hey, great hair man, its grown well so far and itll be fantastic when its longer, im really jealous of your type of hair! just wondering, your bangs look longer than the back, have you been trimming the back or does the hair curl there?
Thanks a lot! When I got my haircut way back when the stylist layered my hair. So it seems like the back doesn't grow as fast because it isn't all one length. Oh well, I like it like this :)

Thanks a bunch! The hair products I use are just a suave 2 in 1 conditioner and I shampoo whenever I get off of work. So about 4 times a week. I use a straightening iron by Vidal Sassoon. For the shine I use Matrix Biolage, this stuff works great.. I love it!! If you want I can dig up some links for you.

How often do you use the straightening iron? What's your natural hair-type like? I have wavey hair, but I doubt I'd be able to get my hair as straight as yours.

Cool. Actually, I walked into a hair and cosmetics supply store and bought some of that matrix shampoo and conditioner. tried it out last night for the first time, and wow I can definitely see the shine. Thanks man.
