Here's a picture of my hair from a couple days ago. The hair in front is not long enough yet for me to tie my hair in a normal ponytail, so I have been experimenting with tying it up higher, behind my ears. It makes me look much neater this way, compared to the loose "bad hair phase" look.
That's a great idea. I've seen a lot of people do about the same thing while cutting the lower portion short. I think it looks dumb, but I can see how it would help with the heat.
Duncan MacLeod sometimes tied his hair up in an upper layer like this in Highlander, and it looked really cool. It gave him a fuller look in the back than a ponytail alone would give, yet kept his hair from looking quite so bushy from the front. One could call it having a ponytail over "loose". Looks fine, Robert!
I used to tie my hair like that when it was still shoulder length. now that it's waist length, everytime i remove the hair band, a bunch of strands break off. I guess it's ok to use that style on certain lengths, but if it gets any longer it becomes painful and a hassle. Good luck with your hair growing.
What kind of hair band so you use?
It looks nice!
For your hair length it's very appropriate. The style itself is still trendy. While watching Entertainment Tonight, I saw Tom Cruise sport it in a press conference.
